COVID-19 FAQs

General Questions

Camp PARC is foremost a close-knit community, a place where we do everything together. Our camp spirit is fueled by the close relationships between the friends we make here. This summer, given the real health concerns of COVID-19 infection, we would have to follow so many distancing requirements, group size limitations, and other program changes, we simply would not be able to revive that camp spirit we all expect. There are many factors that led to this decision— too many to mention here —but for Camp PARC, it’s currently impossible to offer a healthy, positive camp experience during this unfolding pandemic.

Camp PARC is blessed with a wonderful community that supports our mission in many ways. We are grateful for the all of the kind words and caring messages you have been sending. The encouragement has nourished us through this tough decision-making process.  We would love to continue to hear from you in the coming months.

As you can imagine cancelling camp and our two main fundraising events have made a significant strain on our financial resources. We ask you to consider making a gift to Camp PARC during this time. A gift in any amount will help sustain Camp PARC throughout this year and keep our camping program alive for years to come.

Make a gift

Most importantly, we need our Camp PARC community to have hope, be kind, share love, and keep making the world a better place. Our job is not to fix the whole world but to brighten the part of the world that is within your reach. Keep being awesome!

Unfortunately, we will not be able to change course to offer our traditional summer program mid-summer. Gathering the resources and staff to operate our traditional summer camp experience on short notice would be nearly impossible.

Camper Questions

We are offering a few options to either donate your payment or receive a refund. Camp PARC is not rolling payments to the 2021 season.

As a small non-profit, you can imagine the strain this cancellation has put on our financial resources. Please seriously consider transferring a portion or the entire camper fee to a donation. This will help bridge the financial gap until our next season.

We certainly recognize this may not be feasible for all families, and we respect everyone’s individual choice to select a refund instead.

Option 1: I only paid the deposit, please covert my deposit to a tax-deductible donation.

Option 2: I paid the camper fee in full. Please convert 100% of my payment to a tax-deductible donation to help sustain Camp PARC during this unique time.

Option 3: I paid the camper fee in full. Please convert 75% of my payment to a tax-deductible donation and refund the remaining balance.

Option 4: I paid the camper fee in full. Please convert 50% of my payment to a tax-deductible donation and refund the remaining balance.

Option 5: I paid the camper fee in full. Please convert 25% of my payment to a tax-deductible donation and refund the remaining balance.

Option 6:  Please refund the full amount of all camper fees paid.

We recognize these are difficult economic times. We want to remain financially sensitive and offer a range of options to meet the various needs of our community. Camp families received an email with a link to the 2020 Camper Fee Intent Form to indicate their preference. If you did not receive the email, please contact Ted Risch at tedr@campparc.org

All registered campers received an email from Ted Risch at tedr@campparc.org with a link to our 2020 Camper Fee Intent Form. Please fill this form out and indicate your refund preference. Please do not message us on Facebook or email directly. By filling out this form, we are able to keep all information in one file and not overlook anyone. We ask that you fill this form out by Sunday, June 21.

If you need assistance filling out the form or want to talk through your options, please call camp at (814) 410-5343.

All refunds will be processed on or before June 30, by the same method that payment was received.

No, you do not need to submit any medical forms for the 2020 season.

We require a new physician’s examination within a year of the summer program that you are attending so you will need new forms for next season.

Camp PARC staff and volunteers are putting their full attention toward connecting our Camp community in every way possible during this time. Please keep an eye on your email inbox and social media for updates about opportunities to connect.
