Staff Assistants
This active bunch of day-to-day volunteers must have completed 5th grade. They typically arrive at 9am and leave at 3pm daily.
The Staff Assistants help the staff to maintain a clean campsite by collecting trash, cleaning the dining hall and shower facilities, and gathering wood for the campfire, as well as assisting Senior Staff with daily activities and preparing for special events.
The Staff Assistant program has proven to be a great way to introduce the spirit of community service, tolerance and acceptance at an early age. Many children have enjoyed the experience so much that, as they got older, they continued to serve Camp in the roles of Peer Buddy and Junior Counselor.
