Walkers Let Their Light Shine
The 7th annual Laps of Light benefit walk was held on Sunday, October 13 at Jennerstown Speedway. Over 550 walkers from 23 teams came together to let their light shine for Camp PARC.
Everyone at the walk came with a common goal to walk for those with mental or developmental disabilities, while also supporting Camp PARC. The net proceeds this year topped $17,000, which will be applied to camp scholarships and our annual programs.
Teams and individuals were challenged to fundraise for Camp PARC as part of their participation. The top-earning individual raised more than $1,500 and the top-earning team raised more than $1,620.

Team Winners were:
1st: North Star Elementary Girls Basketball & North Star Wildlife
2nd: St. David's Lutheran Church
3rd: Slezak’s Fighters for Life
The event included raffles, carnival games, Corn Hole Tournament, contests and Bounce Houses provided by Jump Crazy, LLC. The walk was lead by Danny Horner, whose parents founded Camp PARC in 1960.
